Leeds United need behind-the-scenes revamp as Mateusz Bogusz transfer confirmed – Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson believes Leeds United may need to “rethink” their strategy on young players after Mateusz Bogusz was allowed to join LAFC on a permanent deal.
The 21-year-old’s move to the MLS side was confirmed on Friday (31 March) after his loan spell with UD Ibiza was cut short.
The Polish midfielder scored twice for the struggling Secunda Division side and Robinson has claimed the club may have to revamp how they handle younger talents.

“As a younger player you have to rely on the manager taking a chance on you and if that’s not going to happen then you have to rethink,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“The whole idea of putting younger players out on loan is for them to get experience and first-team football and if it’s not working they may need to rethink the strategy.”

According to Transfermarkt journalist Manuel Veth (Twitter, 31 March), the Whites received £880,000 for Bogusz. The 21-year-old made just three appearances for the Yorkshire side after joining in January 2019 from Ruch Chorzow.
In other Leeds United news, the club may now face a losing battle to keep their star player at Elland Road beyond the summer transfer window.
