Leeds United must win the race to sign Boubacar Kamara
Leeds United are keen to sign Boubacar Kamara from Marseille this month, according to Sky Sports, and they must win the race to bring him to Elland Road this month.
The broadcaster reported via their Transfer Centre on Wednesday [26 January, 12:00pm] that Kamara is being targeted by Manchester United and Italian giants AS Roma as well.
The 22-year-old is out of contract with the Ligue 1 outfit in the summer, but clubs are vying to bring him now.
It’s high time Leeds must move for him and secure his signature ahead of other rivals. Signing a midfielder is a priority, and Leeds must show ambition by beating the Red Devils in the race for Kamara.
The Whites reportedly chased Brenden Aaronson this month from RB Salzburg [Yorkshire Evening Post] as they are desperate to land a midfielder after losing Kalvin Phillips until March.
However, Salzburg are reluctant to lose him this month and they have rejected two bids from the Whites already [The Atheltic].

The Whites must switch to plan B and Kamara would be a smart addition. According to a recent report from The Daily Mail, the Whites have spoken to the agents of the Marseille midfielder.
It would require a bid in the region of £10 million to secure his services. So what is Victor Orta waiting for?
The defensive midfielder would be a like-for-like replacement for Phillips, as he is strong in tackling and equally good at passing.
With time running out, this would be too good for a feal to turn down.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are in advanced talks over letting a European player leave on a loan-to-buy basis.
