Leeds United must sign Manchester United midfielder James Garner after footage emerges
James Garner scored a goal for Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night and proved why he would be an ideal fit for Leeds United.
The Whites have lacked a midfielder with the engine to run into the opposition penalty area and give defenders a nightmare.
However, the Manchester United loanee proved that he deserves a shot in the Premier League after an immaculate display.
In the footage shared by Sky Sports, one can see Garner (number 37) waiting close to the halfway line, expecting a pass.
However, as the pass is played forward and not square to him, he sees the space inside the penalty area and looks to make a move for it.
His acceleration and pace left defenders for dead as nobody is tracking his run.
After that, all that’s required for him is to slot the ball into the back of the net and he does so with his weaker left foot.
The Athletic’s Phil Hay has also claimed that the Whites are keen on signing the 21-year-old this summer.

Despite their rivalry, Man United have not minded doing business with Leeds as they sold Dan James to them last summer.
Garner is clearly going to demand first-team football and there’s a good chance that he will not be among the top four midfielders at Old Trafford next season.
Should he move to Elland Road, he will be starting week in and week out.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are leading the race to complete a major signing and have already opened talks to seal a £25m deal.
