Leeds United in talks and favourites to sign Brenden Aaronson after learning his price tag
Leeds United are reportedly favourites to seal the services of RB Salzburg attacker Brenden Aaronson in the summer.
According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, the American attacker wants to leave at the end of the season.
The Whites will have to cough up a fee that could be as high as £25million to get the deal over the line.
Via his personal Twitter account, Plettenberg wrote, “Update #Aaronson: He still wants to leave Salzburg in summer. Negotiations with Leeds are still ongoing. RB rejected offers from #LUFC in winter. But they still want him!
“It is said that Leeds is the favourite. Price tag: €25-30m. No release clause. Big talent!”

Aaronson is a young talent who is only going to get better as time passes so it makes sense to go for it.
It also seems like he is someone who’s on the radar of the club rather than an individual manager.
They made bids for him in January, back when Marcelo Bielsa was the manager and are still keen on him under Jesse Marsch.
The fact that the Leeds boss is also an American plays no bearing as Aaronson has been on the club’s radar for a while.
Paying a fee up to £25million for someone who’s 21 and without any Premier League experience will be a risk but it’s one the club should take.
Hopefully, unlike the previous window, they do not waste too much time and make sudden moves with the transfer deadline fast approaching.
