Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich wanted by English club in January transfer window

Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich is reportedly on the radar of an English club in the January transfer window as he looks likely to leave.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, both Klich and Cody Drameh have seen sides at home as well as abroad show an interest in securing their services.

Neither of the players are integral to Jesse Marsch’s plans are expected to be shown the door once the right offer comes in.

YEP wrote on Twitter, “Cody Drameh and Mateusz Klich have attracted interest at home and abroad, and with a combined one Premier League start between them this season, neither are integral to Marsch’s plans.”

Drameh needed

Drameh is only 21 and he can be a key part of Leeds’ future long after Marsch has left Elland Road.

It’s harsh to say that a versatile defender who’s shown so much promise right from his teenage days is not good enough to be a future first-team regular.

With Klich, we can understand why he would want to leave and the Poland World Cup snub surely would’ve been the straw that broke the camel’s back.

At 32, surely the midfielder feels he’s got at least another international tournament under his belt and will be focusing on the EUROs in 2024.

However, in order to be picked regularly for the friendlies as well as Nations League squads, he will need to play regularly.

That’s why a move away from Leeds makes a lot of sense for him and it does seem like he could be playing under Wayne Rooney at DC United.

In other Leeds United news, an attacker linked with a move to Elland Road claims that he could leave his Champions League club in the January transfer window.
