Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Bogusz progress may be hampered after transfer window development
Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Bogusz, who is on loan at Ibiza was subject to transfer interest from LAFC close to the deadline.
According to Poland’s WP SportoweFakty on 31 January, the move was on the cards and Leeds had also given the green light.
However, Ibiza did not let his loan contract be terminated and ended up retaining his services with their sporting director Miguel Angel Gomez then going on record to speak about their relations with Leeds.
“(Leeds are) a friendly club,” AS report him saying.
“(Bogusz) understood the situation. They understood the position and how important he (the player) is to us.”
This is certainly detrimental for the 21-year-old who needs to be playing regularly to develop as a player as he’s still at a very nascent stage.

He has played just 34 per cent of the available minutes at Ibiza this season and has been in the starting eleven just 27 per cent of the time.
Leeds certainly will not be happy with the lack of game time for someone playing in the second tier of Spanish football.
He would get more game time in the United States and would perhaps even compete against a higher calibre of opposition.
Leeds’ friendly relations with Ibiza led to them not being sterner on the loan move and that could end up costing them in the future.
Bogusz is a talented young player who many Leeds fans see as being a potential first-team player in the coming years and hopefully, they deal with him better next season.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are now preparing to sign a former Barcelona defender in the summer and have already taken decisive steps towards sealing the deal.
