Leeds United manager news as appointment set to proceed after takeover
Leeds United have been sounding out potential managerial candidates to replace Sam Allardyce and are set to make an appointment once one key situation is ratified, according to the Daily Mail.
The Whites announced on 2 June that they will longer be keen on the services of Sam Allardyce after his disastrous four-game tenure ended in relegation from the Premier League.
Leeds have been linked with several names as their search for a new appointment goes on, with former Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard and West Brom coach and former Elland Road first team coach Carlos Corberan all currently targetted for the vacant role.

And according to the Daily Mail [6 June], the Whites will be looking to make an appointment on the managerial front once their expected 49ers Enterprises takeover is ratified.
“Leeds have been sounding out candidates to succeed Sam Allardyce as manager and want to appoint a new director of football to fill the void left by Victor Orta’s departure.
“Those appointments will proceed once the takeover is ratified in the coming days”, the report reveals.
Key decision
If Leeds United are hoping for a swift Premier League return this time next season, then they’d seriously need to make this next managerial appointment with some serious consideration.
The Sky Bet Championship is arguably the most gruelling and testing division in the land, which means the club will surely be looking to appoint a manager with knowledge of how things work there.

Also, Leeds United will desperately need a manager capable of galvanising a potentially depleted squad as well as holding the capabilities to mould the squad into strong promotion candidates, and there are no better options out there than Corberan who has worked his magic at both Huddersfield Town and West Brom in previous seasons.
The Spaniard holds tremendous knowledge of the club having worked there under Marcelo Bielsa and will know the kind of free-flowing exciting football the Leeds United fans will be demanding. 49ers must make this key decision with plenty of thought as their swift Premier League certainly hinges on it. They simply cannot afford to get it wrong
