Leeds United live up to Chris Sutton assessment as BBC share Premier League predictions table

Chris Sutton appears to have been spot with his Leeds United predictions from a macro view as BBC have released his Premier League table.

Ahead of every gameweek, the BBC ask the former Chelsea striker to predict all the fixtures and according to him, the Whites should be in 14th place on the table with 29 points.

While they may be three points shy of that number, they are still where his results said that they would be.

12 more points?

38 points should be enough to keep the Whites in the Premier League and that’s easier said than done given how competitive it’s been this season.

Never before has there been a relegation battle in which not even one team is guaranteed to go down and it’s crazy to think how many twists and turns could take place.

Four wins in 11 games is what Leeds should be targeting and if they can edge a draw here and there, they’ll certainly take that too.

Games like Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are ones that they should be looking to win and it’ll be a big shock if they don’t pick up at least four from those two games.

It’s interesting to see how Javi Gracia sets up against Arsenal as nobody expects the Whites to go to the Emirates and look to outplay the league leaders.

They’ve got to be careful and pick their moments to attack but also find the perfect balance so that they do not become overly defensive.

In other Leeds United, the Whites are now in pole position to seal their first signing under Javi Gracia despite interest from a Premier League rival.
