Leeds United-linked Tyler Adams up for sale at RB Leipzig
RB Leipzig are keen to sell midfielder Tyler Adams this summer and Leeds United have identified him as a potential target, according to Florian Plettenburg.
The 23-year-old was a fairly regular feature for the Bundesliga side in the 2021/22 campaign as they finished fourth in Germany’s top tier to qualify for the Champions League.
Adams is a player Leeds manager Jesse Marsch knows well too being a United States international and played under our boss at Leipzig for a brief period.
Plettenburg, a journalist for Sky Sports Germany, reported via his personal Twitter account that the Whites have the American on their shortlist for midfield additions despite already signing Brenden Aaronson and Marc Roca in that department this summer.
They could get themselves a bargain too with Leipzig keen to sell the 23-year-old this summer.
Last one
We definitely needed to bolster our options in the midfield after the troubles of last season and it is refreshing to see we have wasted no time in getting deals sorted so far this summer.
But while the midfield is perhaps the most important area of the pitch, we do have issues elsewhere and we can’t afford to splash every penny in our pockets on combative midfielders.

We could do with a new striker and another winger wouldn’t go amiss with Raphinha’s future looking far from certain at Elland Road.
The defence was abysmal at times last season too so if we could find another centre-half and left-back to give us a hand that would be nice.
But if Adams is available for a reasonable price, then it is definitely a deal worth doing but let’s add him and leave it at that until more players leave in that position.
In other Leeds United news, Andrea Radrizzani is ready to go in strong to bring a new striker to Elland Road and he could get him for just £17million.
