Leeds keeping close eye on Joe Rodon - report

Leeds United are keeping close tabs on the situation of Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon, according to reports from The Telegraph.

However, the Whites are not the only side that are showing interest in the Wales defender with Newcastle United and Watford said to be keen.

Tottenham are willing to send him on loan in January as the club feel he needs regular games at the moment.

Brilliant signing

Rodon would be an outstanding signing for the club.

The 24-year-old joined Spurs last season from Swansea City, and he is being highly regarded at the club.

But the “excellent” Wales defender has struggled for regular game time this season, managing only one Premier League appearance during the defeat to Crystal Palace so far.

He has also played in the League Cup clash against Burnley.

Leeds are currently short of options at the back. Liam Cooper, the skipper, is currently out injured, while Diego Llorente and Pascal Struijk are also on the sidelines.

With Luke Ayling struggling for fitness and Robin Koch having just returned from injuries, Bielsa needs another option at the back. Rodon on loan would be a brilliant move.

Rodon showed last season that has got the required skillset and mentality to flourish in the league, and all he needs is regular game time to get his confidence back.

However, Leeds need to move quickly, especially with Newcastle vying for his signature.
