Leeds United injury news: Doctor issues update on Pascal Struijk
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Leeds United...
Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk potentially faced months on the sidelines had he suffered a significant muscle tear, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that he is missing with an adductor concern and even needed to see a specialist as he wasn’t making progress during his rehabilitation.
However, Daniel Farke stated ahead of the FA Cup clash over the weekend that the club hopes to have him back in time for the next league game.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Struijk:
“He has an adductor injury which is a group of muscles on the inside of the leg.
“It sounded like the injury wasn’t progressing as hoped so he will see a specialist.
“The worst case scenario would be a significant tear in the muscle which would mean months out but he now appears close to a return so it’s certainly not that severe.“

Struijk missed a handful of games for the Whites and over the weekend, saw Ethan Ampadu slotting into the heart of defence to replace him.
The former Chelsea player has been utilised by Farke in a defensive midfield role, but he has played at centre-back on numerous occasions in his career.
It remains to be seen once Struijk is back if he does start or eased back into the first team with a couple of games off the bench.
In other Leeds United news, an international player linked with a move to Elland Road is unhappy at his current club and could be on his way out in the January transfer window.
