Leeds United in advanced talks to seal Marc Roca transfer as Victor Orta picks him out

Leeds United are now in advanced talks to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper have reported on their website that the Whites will pay £12million, including add-ons to the German giants, with the Spaniard keen to make the switch.

It is suggested that Victor Orta picked out the 25-year-old as someone he believes is someone who is ready and will suit the Premier League at this stage of his career.

Leeds have made their move early and efficiently to win this race for Roca.

Orta is set to make it three out of three with early confirmed deals with this one joining Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen as this squad gets a well-needed makeover.

Roca has struggled for game time at Bayern Munich since making the move from Espanyol, but you don’t just get handed a five-year contract at a club such as that if you don’t possess real quality.

Nearly there.

It looks as though Leeds just need to complete all of the formalities before they can officially get this one signed and sealed off this week.

Relevo reported on Monday [13 June] that the deal was done and the Spaniard would sign a four-year deal, although they may have slightly jumped the gun in his home country.

This is exactly the type of proactive attitude we were hoping to see at the club, with a real desire clearly on show to improve the squad and move forward.

The 2021-22 season in the Premier League proved that we had nowhere enough in the squad to push on and become real contenders for those European spots.

Andrea Radrizzani has seen that and has released Orta on a real mission to bring in fresh new players to transform the squad, and that is exactly what he is doing at this very moment.

Bring it on.
