Leeds United have no love lost as Sky Sports host predicts Derby outome
David Prutton has backed Leeds United to get back on track against Derby County this weekend.
The Whites saw their three-game winning come to an end last weekend as they lost 1-0 at Blackburn Rovers.
Daniel Farke’s men are looking to put that right as they take on Derby County on Saturday [7 December] at Elland Road.
Given the history of fixtures between these two sides, Prutton predicts a good game but sees the home side coming out on top as he said on the Essential EFL podcast [5 December, 7:14]: “They’ll be a change over in personnel and management but they’ll certainly be no love lost and given the fact that Leeds obviously lost to Blackburn, Derby lost to a Sheffield Wednesday side that can hurt you on the odd occasion. There’ll be reactions needed but Leeds at home is a tough one isn’t it, a real tough one.
“Prediction: 2-1 Leeds.”
Back to winning ways for Leeds United?
Leeds will be looking to get back on track this weekend after their loss to Blackburn last week and depending on other results around them, a win could see them return to the top of the table.
At this stage, with it so close at the top of the Championship, table position isn’t the most important thing but Farke will be keen for his men to do all that they can to put themselves in the best position to be in control and gain momentum again.

Derby are without a win in four games, though, and will be keen to put this right which sets this one up to be an exciting fixture, especially between two sides who don’t have the friendliest of histories with one another.
That being said, the Whites will surely back their chances on home turf in a game which will no doubt generate a good atmosphere among the supporters.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are prepared to let this big-name player leave in January.
