Leeds United have bid accepted for RB Salzburg star Brenden Aaronson - Phil Hay
Leeds United have now had a bid accepted for RB Salzburg star Brenden Aaronson, according to Phil Hay.
The Athletic journalist shared the huge update after the Whites secured their Premier League status on the final day this evening against Brentford with a 2-1 win.
It is shared that Leeds will pay £22.4million for the American international, who will link up with Jesse Marsch at Elland Road over the summer before the start of next season.
Leeds are making their moves early.
It is also shared that MLS side Philadelphia Union will also benefit from the move, as they are owed a sell-on clause they negotiated with RB Salzburg at the time.
Aaronson will be the first signing of the Marsch reign and should be announced very shortly.

Leeds look to be preparing for a big summer after securing the wealth of the Premier League for yet another year, a huge difference to what they would have gotten in the Championship.
This is a brilliant piece of business for Leeds United.
Aaronson has been identified by Victor Orta for months now, and after failing in January, will be brought into the club over the summer in a big move.
That is a huge vote of confidence in the playmaker, who will take that into account given that he is also being given the chance to play in the Premier League under a manager he knows.
It also shows the difference between the Premier League and the Championship, as we have instantly thrown more than £20million at a player the same day we stayed in the division.
We are buzzing with this news, and hopefully, Aaronson is the first of many to be confirmed over the next couple of months before the season starts again.
The American will likely be on the pre-season tour to Australia, so that is where we’ll get our first glance.
