Leeds United may sign Charles De Ketelaere in 2023 as he is unsettled at AC Milan

Leeds United may now have another chance at signing AC Milan midfielder Charles De Ketelaere in 2023, according to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs.

The 21-year-old only joined AC Milan from Club Brugge this summer but could finally be set to make a move to Elland Road in the near future.

Jacobs confessed that the maestro is definitely “unsettled” at the San Siro which may lead to Leeds United making a move for him in January, and if not then, the summer.

“I can’t see Milan wanting him to leave, I can’t see Milan allowing him to leave on a permanent deal. But it is clear that things are not 100% working because the player isn’t totally settled,” said Jacobs as quoted by GIVEMESPORT.

“And that just might allow Leeds a chance either for January, or if not, perhaps instead over the summer to make their move. So, that is definitely one to keep an eye on for sure.”

Worthwhile?

Is taking a punt on the 21-year-old worthwhile? You’d have to say yes on this one, he has an underlying quality that could certainly be useful for Leeds United.

At Club Brugge, the midfielder registered 25 goals and 20 assists in 120 appearances, helping the Belgian outfit to three league titles along the way.

And whilst he hasn’t been able to make the same type of impact in Serie A, he’s only made 18 outings and the Milan club have looked far from their best anyway.

His name continues to be linked with the Whites though, which bodes well for any future bid or move, there is definitely interest there from Jesse Marsch and co.

The Athletic revealed on September 2 that Leeds had agreed to a £34million fee with Club Brugge but the youngster chose Italy over Elland Road.

The Belgium international may now be ruing that decision, but it seems Leeds United may offer him another chance at joining their engine room ranks.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are aiming to get this “human wrecking ball” out of Elland Road in January.
