Leeds United fans goaded by Ivan Toney after response to old video
Leeds United are now staring above them at Premier League safety after another defeat on the road saw them drop below Everton and into the bottom three.
They gave themselves a mountain to climb in just 10 minutes as Arsenal raced into a two-goal lead before Luke Ayling was shown a straight red card for a two-footed lunge on Gabriel Martinelli.
Even though they got one back thanks to Diego Llorente, Jesse Marsch’s side couldn’t get an equaliser and Brentford’s Ivan Toney wanted to let Whites fans know about it.
The Bees striker reposted a video on Twitter of the Leeds players celebrating their promotion to the Premier League back in 2020 while chanting the song, “Mind the gap Thomas Frank,” aimed at the Brentford manager.
The Englishman only quoted “Hmm,” in his caption but that was more than enough to spark fury from portions of Leeds fans in the replies.
What goes around…
As we all know, every action has an equal and opposite reaction, supposedly, and this will be no different.
You can practically guarantee that when Toney or Brentford are on the brink of the drop, Leeds will be very quick to drag this back up from the depths of Twitter history to throw it back in his face.

That is exactly what he has just done with this video in fairness and when you are on the receiving end of it, you kind of just have to stomach it and know that you will get the chance to respond one day.
Toney knew exactly what he was doing when he posted this and a number of supporters gave him what he wanted within moments.
It might be immature and perhaps the club will have a word with him but we have to just ignore him for now until he finds himself in trouble and then we can all pile on at once.
In other Leeds United news, this youngster is set for crucial talks over his future wit his agent confirming the news.
