Leeds United fans beg Raphinha to stay via Junior Firpo’s live-streamed wedding
Leeds United fans tend to do things differently to most others and things have not changed one bit as they try to convince Raphinha to stay.
The Brazilian winger has been a constant target of FC Barcelona’s but the transfer is dragging on with the two clubs unable to agree on terms for a sale.
Whites supporters really don’t want to see the 25-year-old leave the club after a sensational season that helped Leeds stay in the Premier League by the skin of their teeth and they have found a new way to plead with him.
As reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth, via Twitter, a wave of fans noticed that Raphinha was one of the many people watching his Elland Road teammate Junior Firpo’s wedding that the Dominican Republic full-back was live streaming on his Instagram.
As soon as he was spotted, the comments section of the live video became flooded with Leeds fans begging the Brazilian to stay in Yorkshire and reject the sunny Spanish shores at the Catalan giants.
Whatever it takes
Someone needs to let Jesse Marsch know that Raphinha is watching so he can join the dozens of supporters in attempting to convince him to stay.

The vast majority of people both in and around the club would all agree that he is the best attacking player in the side and without him to prize open a very stubborn defence, we may well be preparing for a Championship campaign right now instead of a Premier League one.
His importance to the team is almost unmeasurable and we could see just how crucial he is if he leaves for Barcelona and we can’t find an adequate replacement.
And finding the ‘Next Raphinha’ is going to be incredibly hard because a player of his ability very rarely becomes available to a team like Leeds United so we need to take a punt on a youngster we can get for cheap somewhere and hope that he develops into another world-beater that we can all rely on.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are readying themselves for a major bid for one of their star players very soon and they could pocket a huge fee.
