Leeds United duo Diego Llorente and Junior Firpo potential doubts for Premier League opener
Leeds United duo Diego Llorente and Junior Firpo are potential doubts for the Whites’ Premier League opener against Manchester United, according to a report from LeedsLive.
They claim that the centre-back and the left-back suffered “minor knocks” and “hopes remain high” that both will be available to play against the Red Devils.
However, because they both missed the Villarreal match, there must be “some degree of risk” for both players.

Will either make the Premier League opener?
Marcelo Bielsa’s press conference is on Thursday, which gives Firpo and Llorente plenty of time to make some real progress before we hear from the Argentine.
Until we hear from him, it is hard to speculate about Llorente and Firpo, but this latest report does suggest that they both should be fine for Leeds’ opening Premier League fixture.

It would be a huge boost if both were available as Leeds’ defence massively improved towards the end of last season when Llorente managed to string a good number of games together and helped the Whites keep out the goals.
On the other hand, Firpo has looked lively in pre-season and could be a real force down the left.
Hopefully, Bielsa provides us with some good news on the duo on Thursday, and then we get to see both against the Red Devils.
Therefore, it is pretty much a waiting game until the Argentine speaks.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have targeted another addition for the Under-23s.
