Leeds United defender Robin Koch open to Elland Road exit with Bundesliga clubs keen on transfer
Leeds United defender Robin Koch could reportedly be on his way back to Germany with Bundesliga clubs making an enquiry towards signing him.
According to German media outlet Sport (6 March), the 26-year-old can imagine going back as he plans on making Hansi Flick’s national side.
He’s already made several caps for them but is not a regular so is open to taking the next step in his career in order to further his international stature and due to their being a “crisis” at Elland Road with the club battling relegation.

Must keep him
Koch’s grown from strength to strength since his move to Elland Road and one can understand why Marcelo Bielsa want to bring him to the club.
He wasn’t a name that excited too many fans, but he’s quietly gone on about his business to be the first choice under three different managers.
Performing in the Bundesliga, one of Europe’s top five leagues, with Freiburg is one thing and doing it in the Premier League, another, but he’s already proven himself.
Relegation is going to make it harder for them to do that so they need to do everything they can before it gets to that stage.

Victor Orta and the hierarchy needs to quickly get in touch with his representatives and get him to sign a new deal with a relegation clause if that’s what he wants.
This will protect Leeds in the market if they get relegated and if they manage to stay up, they’ve got to make him front and centre of their rebuild.
In other Leeds United news, the club may now face a losing battle to keep their star player at Elland Road beyond the summer transfer window.
