Leeds United defender Leo Hjelde showing quick signs of recovery

Leeds United have been handed an injury boost with Leo Hjelde showing quick signs of recovery.

According to LeedsLive, he’s looking at a return sooner than first expected as he is knee injury does not seem to be as serious.

Jesse Marsch said recently that he could be back before the season ends after reports claimed that it was unlikely he would kick a ball before the third week of May.

Good news

Hjelde has not been a first-team regular this season, but his quick return will be beneficial for everyone.

He was handed his debut under Marcelo Bielsa when there were a number of players ruled out through injury.

While the number of absentees appear to be reducing under Marsch, there are no guarantees that they will remain the same until the end of the season.

Having players in reserve is always a welcome boost and one that the American would take, no questions asked.

Hopefully, there has been some serious digging into the injury concerns at Elland Road post Marsch’s arrival.

Players suffering serious injuries every other game is clearly not the right thing and there definitely needs to be a change in their conditioning or training routines.

Rodrigo and Junior Firpo were among the latest injury casualties with the latter likely to miss most if not all the remaining games of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

In other Leeds United news, Steve McManaman claims that a Whites man has already lost the trust of fans and some players after what happened last week.
