Leeds United defender Junior Firpo teases return ahead of Manchester United clash

Junior Firpo appears to have confirmed his involvement in the Leeds United v Manchester United game on Sunday.

The Spanish defender took to Instagram to share a story that shows him in action.

He captions it: “Finally tomorrow” which could signal his return after missing a little over a month of footballing action with Leeds due to an injury.

Welcome back

Firpo was spotted in training and was declared fit but this means that he’s certain to be involved in the game.

This could be a good thing as his pace would benefit the Whites on the counter attack.

Manchester United are expected to dominate the lion’s share of possession and they will be vulnerable to the quick switch in play.

Leeds do not hesitate to go long if they feel that the opponents are leaving spaces in behind.

Under Ralf Rangnick, the Red Devils are yet to find their feet and it could be an ideal time to play them.

They will also have an eye on the Champions League fixture against Atletico Madrid so could look to rest a few key players.

This should play right into the hands of Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds and the Argentine shouldn’t be afraid to take the game to their arch rivals.

Nothing would be sweeter than beating Manchester United and those three points could go a long way towards securing their spot in next season’s Premier League as they’re still in a relegation battle.
