Leeds United could still make bid for Brenden Aaronson before 11 pm – report

Leeds United could still make another bid for RB Salzburg star Brenden Aaronson before the 11 pm deadline this evening (31 January), according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The newspaper has reported on their website that after having two bids rejected already this month, a third offer could be launched today.

Victor Orta and his team may still wait until the summer, a move that has been highly mooted already in this window.

Leeds are looking likely to end this window with no new senior arrivals at Elland Road, something which will disappoint the masses.

Aaronson was the “priority” target for the month, but they have been met by a stubborn RB Salzburg.

Given their huge Champions League tie against Bayern Munich next month, it is understandable, but that won’t sooth Leeds any time soon.

Go all out.

What is the harm in trying one more time?

Leeds could throw £25million-£30million at RB Salzburg and see what they say, the worst that can happen is that they say no, we’ve already been there.

The interest is clear, and the Whites are obviously desperate to sign the American international, so why wouldn’t you throw this money at him?

Marcelo Bielsa would welcome this signing with open arms, and surely so would the 49ers Enterprise, given their American links.

Aaronson is among the top 1% in the world in terms of distance covered per game, which makes him the perfect player for Elland Road.

Andrea Radrizzani will be watching closely, and hopefully, he is in the position to throw some cash around today, we have the smallest glimmer of hope.

It’s time to get this one over the line with an offer that Salzburg can’t refuse, and given their rejection of £20million, it would need to be a mega bid near our club record – show your ambition.
