Leeds United could sign midfielder Alex Scott from cash-strapped club for £10m
Leeds United could sign Alex Scott from Bristol City this summer given their financial issues, according to the Mirror.
The report claims that his suitors, which also include Spurs, have a chance to prise him away this summer.
The Whites have already scouted the £10million-rated midfielder and Bristol are bracing themselves for bids for the 18-year-old.
Worth signing
Scott has defied odds in the Championship this season and deserves a move to a Premier League side.
Despite being 18, he’s shown the maturity of a player in his prime and already has become a regular for Bristol.
It’s not often that teenagers are given regular starts at the senior level and made key parts of their respective teams.
Albeit the Championship, Scott has shown that he can match up to senior pros and give them a run for their money.
He may not be a regular starter at Leeds, but Jesse Marsch surely would like options on the bench as midfield is an area they need to strengthen in.
Since Adam Forshaw the club haven’t signed a senior midfield player and we will be surprised if at least two are not signed in the summer.
If the club want Scott, hopefully, he’s not the only midfielder that walks through the door as they will need somebody to start along side Kalvin Phillips week in and week out.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are leading the race to complete a major signing and have already opened talks to seal a £25m deal.
