Leeds United could look to convince Ronaldo Vieira for Elland Road return

Leeds United are looking to convince Ronaldo Vieira to return to the club in a major transfer, according to Club Doria 46.

The Italian outlet has shared on their website that the Whites could launch a move for the Sampdoria maestro to bring him back to Elland Road.

Vieira was one step away from returning to England at Sheffield United in the summer, but that move collapsed.

It is reported that Vieira is destined to return to England.

After a nightmare 2021 packed with injuries, it looks as though the midfielder needs a move to relaunch his career yet again.

Leeds is the best solution for Vieira and Sampdoria, who are said to be in desperate need of cash windfalls this year.

Sporting Director of the Italian side Daniele Faggiano is said to need to raise upwards of £21million and selling players is the best way to do just that.

Vieira is said to be worth around £4.3million of that, so it would be a real bargain for the Whites.

Works for both parties?

After a year packed with injuries for Vieira, is this the sort of player that Leeds want to bring to Elland Road?

Forget about past ties, the Whites need players who are reliable and can make an instant difference, there is no time to live on past memories.

The 23-year-old only played four times last season, missing more than 75% of the season through injuries, and that should be enough to make Leeds think twice [Transfermarkt].

Marcelo Bielsa sanctioned the exit of Vieira as one of his first moves at the club to bring in Patrick Bamford, so it would seem unlikely that he would favour this move.

There is no time to be living in the past, we have moved on and it is time for bigger and better signings – take note Victor Orta.
