Leeds United could get deal done to sign New York City FC striker Valentin Castellanos
Leeds United could get a deal done to secure the summer signing of New York City FC striker Valentin Castellanos, according to LeedsLive.
La Pagina Millionaria first reported about the Whites’ interest in the player back in January.
They also claimed that Leeds were prepared to part ways with £10million in order to sign the 23-year-old.

Now, the LeedsLive report reads, “A deal could likely be done for the player, as a move to the Premier League would be seen as a big step in his career.”
If a deal is likely to happen, Victor Orta needs to act quickly and try making a move for him before some of Europe’s big clubs enter the race for him.
Leeds need a pure goal scorer to lead the line and that became extremely apparent this season.
Patrick Bamford enjoyed a sensational first season back in the Premier League, but he’s missed most of this campaign through injury.
In his absence, there’s not been anyone reliable enough to score goals and play like a proper number nine.
In Castellanos, they will find the perfect player who can not just be Bamford’s understudy, but take over the reins from him after one season at the club.
Last season, the Argentine scored 19 goals and provided five assists to become the first NYCFC player to seal the MLS Golden Boot title.
Whether or not he will be able to adapt to the Premier League remains a big question mark, but if the Leeds scouts are convinced then he’s a proven goal scorer who should be brought to the club.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are leading the race to complete a major signing and have already opened talks to seal a £25m deal.
