Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville not wanted by Rangers
Rangers are reportedly not interested in signing Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville on loan.
The Daily Record claim that he is not on their list for loan targets in the January transfer window.
This development comes after ITV commentator Sam Matterface said during Leeds’ FA Cup defeat to West Ham on Sunday that they had received a loan bid from the defending SPFL champions.
These reports appear to be contradictory as on the one hand it’s being claimed that a bid has been made while on the other, there seems to be no interest whatsoever.
It could be that Gers’ offer was immediately rebuffed by Leeds and they went on to brief the media that they’re not pursuing the Dutchman.
This is extremely good news for Leeds as they will be retaining the services of the Dutchman.
The 20-year-old, who has been labelled “electric” by LeedsLive reporter Joe Donnohue, brings something unique to this side.
Despite him not being a regular, it’s nice to have a player like him on the bench, given how many injuries Leeds have suffered this season.
While going out on loan would arguably have been better for his development, Marcelo Bielsa is not in a position to lose any more players.
As things stand, Summerville appears to stay put at Elland Road at least until the end of the season and the club will assess his future after that.
