Leeds United and Leicester stance shared on Everton charge amid PSR woes

It is not certain that Leeds United and Leicester City will bring a charge against Everton amid their own PSR woes, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper reported on its website on 6 March that both Championship sides could have a financial claim depending on the Toffees’ second charge which will be heard in April.

Leeds and Leicester have discussed taking legal action against Everton but have not gone ahead with it due to the financial trouble at Goodison Park.

Leeds United might have a case?

The report claims that Burnley are considering taking serious action against the Merseyside outfit.

Leeds could follow Burnley’s lead and pursue legal action against the Premier League for compensation.

This would involve weighing the costs against potential rewards, considering the outcome of Everton’s second PSR charge.

They also might choose to wait and see the outcome of the Toffees’ second PSR charge before deciding on legal action.

If Everton face a significant points deduction, the Whites could have a stronger case for compensation.

Leeds’ financials also must be considered as such legal cases are not easy on the pocket and they would only pursue it if they have a chance of winning.

They may also consider the impact of legal action on their current performance and may not want to get embroiled in such things and rather prioritise promotion back to the top flight.
