Leeds among 10+ clubs to track Championship star, significant sum demanded - report

Leeds United are among 10-plus clubs tracking Reading playmaker Michael Olise, according to Football League World.

The online outlet has reported that the Championship side are set to demand a significant sum for the 18-year-old after his breakthrough last season.

Arsenal and Wolves are both named as Premier League sides who could rival the Whites for the signature of Olise, although no club has made an approach as of yet.

MOT Leeds News exclusively revealed at the beginning of August that the Whites were interested in making a move for Olise.

We reported that Reading rate their midfield talent between £3million and £4million, although that could rise with the amount of clubs interested.

Olise moved to the Madejski Stadium on a free transfer in 2015 after failed spells with both Manchester City and Chelsea.

The 18-year-old signed a long-term deal with the Royals, and is under contract at the Berkshire club until 2022.

Last season, Olise made 19 Championship appearances and especially caught the eye as a late starter at Elland Road – causing Kalvin Phillips constant problems.

The 18-year-old started the Royals’ season opener at Derby last week in the 2-0 win, completing 88 minutes at Pride Park and delivering an assist.

Olise had one shot on goal and completed three key passes according to WhoScored, and continues to impress significantly, catching the eye of many Premier League clubs.

The more clubs that continue to register an interest, the higher the pricetag may become and Victor Orta would be smart to make the first move.
