'I like to watch Leeds' - Mauricio Pochettino makes 'dizzying' Whites claim under Bielsa
Mauricio Pochettino has claimed his favourite team to watch is Leeds United after their Premier League opener against Liverpool.
The former Spurs boss has openly confessed his appreciation for Marcelo Bielsa, and often claims he is one of the biggest influences in his career.
The South American claimed that Bielsa and Leeds play a “dizzying” type of football that other teams find impossible to deal with.
Speaking to online outlet COPE, Pochettino named the Whites alongside both Tottenham and Liverpool in his answer.
“I like to watch Leeds and Bielsa because it is a dizzying football; Tottenham, because there is a lot of love; and Liverpool, because they have talent,” he said.
Pochettino is currently out of work after being sacked by Spurs last season, and he has clearly been filling his spare time by taking in as much football as possible.
His mentor and former leader Bielsa is clearly someone he looks up too and further reinforces his god-like status, not only in Leeds but around the world.
Not many have had a bigger effect at Elland Road than Bielsa, with the South American changing everything in West Yorkshire.
El Loco arrived with a more-than-average squad available to him and has transformed them into Premier League players.
Six of the starting 11 at Anfield on Saturday were already at the club before Bielsa arrived, and they would have laughed if you told them they would be in the Premier League now two years ago.
Pochettino is clearly a massive fan, and he won’t be the only one to confess that he likes watching the Whites this season if Saturday is anything to go by.
