Leeds United ace Stuart Dallas could be ruled out for the season, potentially several weeks

Leeds United utility player Stuart Dallas may not feature again this season after sustaining an injury against Manchester City.

The Northern Ireland international started the game as a right wing-back and was heavily involved in it.

However, a collision with Jack Grealish led to him facing a knee injury after which he failed to even get up and walk down to the touchline.

They had to bring on a stretcher and wheel him off the pitch, further adding to the club’s injury woes.

Liam Cooper suffered an injury before the game even began and now he’ll be joined on the touchline by Dallas.

While Cooper’s did not look too serious, Dallas’ unfortunately does not seem pretty and we will be surprised if he’s back before the end of the season.

Jesse Marsch himself did not seem too optimistic when speaking to the press after the game.

Usually, managers tend to play down if it’s too serious a concern, but the American did not do that.

Via his personal Twitter account, Athletic’s Phil Hay wrote, “Marsch on Dallas: ‘We don’t think it’s good with his knee. With where we are in the season, we’ll miss him very much because he’s the heart and soul of the group and one of the guys who’s a leader.’

“He’s had a scan. Marsch: ‘I don’t want to say too much yet but it’s not great’.”

With only a handful of matches left before the season ends, we do not think his answer suggests that Dallas will be back this month.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are leading the race to complete a major signing and have already opened talks to seal a £25m deal.
