Leeds United ace Phillips mocks West Ham over Raphinha bid
Leeds United ace Kalvin Phillips has issued a four-word response mocking West Ham’s attempt to sign Raphinha in the January transfer window.
As reported by Guardian, the Hammers made a late £50million swoop for Leeds’ standout performer this season.
Phillips poked fun at the Irons move for the Whites magician as he showcased his talent whilst away on international duty with Brazil.

He commented on the 25-year-old’s Instagram post: “50 million they said” including laughing, shocked eyeball and fire emojis.

Laughable
Many of the Leeds United fanbase found the attempted move for Raphinha just as funny as Phillips did.
The magician has been by far the Whites’ best player this season so selling him was completely off the cards in January as Marcelo Bielsa’s team fought to stay in the Premier League.
Even if Raphinha was to be sold, it wouldn’t be to West Ham. Not only would that be strengthening a rival, they couldn’t afford him.

A £50million bid is laughable to be honest. In today’s market the South American is worth at least double that.
He is far too valuable to this team which is the exact reason Bielsa and co are so keen on tying him down to a new deal.
His form has attracted attention from some of the world’s best over the course of the window with many of those likely to come knocking again in the summer.
That way, if he does leave Elland Road, the Whites will be able to pick up a hefty fee for their star man.
