Leeds star Brenden Aaronson reveals desire for consistency
Leeds attacker Brenden Aaronson has revealed in an ESPN interview that he is looking for consistency in his game to maintain a spot in the first team.
The 21-year-old has had an electric start to life at Elland Road, scoring a goal and helping the Whites go unbeaten in their first three games of the season.
However, he has now revealed that he is looking to be consistent with his performances stating that he is aware of the difficulty of maintaining a spot in the team. [ESPN]
Aaronson said: “I think I had a good pre-season and had some good performances.
“But now it is about consistency because there a lot of people challenging for your spots.
“So I’ve got to be consistent and keep playing the way I am.”
Great start for Aaronson.
The former RB Salzburg man has enjoyed life at Elland Road so far, slotting into the team and showcasing his ability in his first few games.
Aaronson, who joined Leeds from the Austrian champions earlier in the window, has impressed with his electric pace, intense pressing, and bundles of energy as well as his creativity.
His goal against Chelsea in the emphatic 3-0 win over the Blues, the first of three Leeds goals on the day, was the cherry on top of a great start for the 21-year-old.
However, he is right when he says that he will need to maintain these performances to retain his spot in the starting line-up.
Due to the form of Aaronson and Jack Harrison on the opposite wing, Dan James and the returning Luis Sinnisterra have not been able to get a look in.
They will be knocking on the door of the duo if standards slip so it is imperative that Aaronson continues to impress on the right-wing.
In other Leeds news, the club are considering a blockbuster move for Joao Pedro.
