Leeds receive double injury boost ahead of Brighton clash

Marcelo Bielsa has received a massive boost today after Leeds United duo Raphinha and Rodrigo returned to training.

The pair were absent during Leeds’ 2-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

Leeds have released a training video on their official Instagram page where Rodrigo and Raphinha were seen training with other players.

Raphinha missed the game against Spurs through illness, while Rodrigo picked up a minor injury. Luke Ayling still remains absent.

Coming together

Leeds have struggled a lot this season with their small squad being ravaged by injuries.

Yesterday, Patrick Bamford returned to training after a long absence. Robin Koch is also back in training for the Whites.

It seems Rodrigo and Raphinha have also joined the squad ahead of their Premier League clash against Brentford.

Leeds were superb against Spurs and they were really unlucky to have come out of this game with no points.

There was also a reported injury scare for Kalvin Phillips but Phil Hay has confirmed on Twitter that he is in good health and will be fit to play this weekend.

With key players returning to action, Bielsa now has, more or less, a fully fit squad to choose from.

It will be interesting to see how they perform from here on. The Whites need a run of wins under their belt to climb up the ladder.

The performance has been good. All they need now is to translate those into positive wins.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are ready to make major January signings with unexpected deals to force action
