Leeds finalising paperwork for Junior Firpo transfer
Leeds United are finalising the paperwork to complete the signing of Barcelona defender Junior Firpo.
Mundo Deportivo have shared on their website that is the final issue before the Spaniard is announced at Elland Road.
Firpo has picked the Whites and Marcelo Bielsa ahead of stiff competition from the likes of AC Milan and Napoli.
Victor Orta has once again worked his magic in the Spanish market and baring any last hitches, this will be confirmed over the weekend.
Firpo is set to complete a move to West Yorkshire for a maximum figure of £15.4million, almost half of what Barcelona paid Real Betis two years ago.
It appears as though the medical examinations have been passed, with no mention of that being an issue that needs resolving.
The paperwork is now being processed, and it will be announced at the latest, the start of next week.

This is perfect timing for Marcelo Bielsa.
El Loco is yet to sign his new deal, but has been working hard on transfers with Orta and will no doubt be announced soon.
With players back at Thorp Arch for pre-season testing today, there will surely be clips on social media that will include Bielsa.
We all know how rigorous pre-season is for the Whites, so Firpo arriving by the weekend will give him more than a month of training before that Premier League opener at Manchester United.
Having only started three La Liga games last season, the left-back will be desperate for action, but he will need to prove his fitness first.
Firpo has more than enough time to do just that, now get that paperwork sorted and announce this move.
