Jack Harrison quarantining ahead of permanent Leeds move - Smyth
Leeds United return to pre-seaosn training today at Thorp Arch, but a number of their first-team faces won’t be there.
Graham Smyth has shared an update on the squad, with Jack Harrison one of those who won’t be spotted within the camp.
The winger will be making his move to Elland Road permanent this summer, after three loan years at the club.
Harrison has been away in South America all summer, visiting his partner, and has been forced into quarantine before his return to training.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Smyth shared the news and whether or not it will affect his permanent move.
“Majority of Leeds United squad back in pre-season testing tomorrow morning,” he said.
“Jack Harrison won’t be, he’s still quarantining. Deal to sign him permanently from Manchester City still happening, expected to be completed next week.”
After an incredible season in the Premier League, we are more excited than ever to see Harrison make his move permanent.
When first reading Smyth’s update and seeing the winger quarantining, there is that slight doubt that something may have gone wrong.
Although it was expected to be completed today, there appears to be no panic over the specific date and it should be done next week.
It will give the winger chance to complete his media obligations ahead of the official announcement on social media.
Harrison deserves this move, and after being involved in more goals than Raphinha, granted from more games, he still proved his worth immensely.
