Leeds could be without Luke Ayling, Patrick Bamford and Robin Koch v Brentford
Leeds United will be looking to make it consecutive wins in the Premier League for the first time this season against Brentford on Sunday.
The Whites finally picked up a well deserved three points with their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Tuesday evening (30th November).
Marcelo Bielsa may have the exact same team to choose from, with doubts still hanging over the heads of Luke Ayling, Patrick Bamford and Robin Koch.
Leeds Live has shared an update on their fitness ahead of the clash on Sunday, and it isn’t looking too good for an immediate return.
Both Ayling and Bamford played for the under-23s against Manchester City at the start of the week (Monday 29th November), and Bielsa insisted that this weekend may come too soon for them after that one.
Based on that, this report suggests that the return date for those two will be against Chelsea a week on Saturday (11th December).
Koch is said to be behind in his preparation but could return for the clash against Manchester City on the following Tuesday (14th December).
Normal service resumes.
It will be interesting to see if Bielsa changes a winning team, but given that the win came after changes were made, he certainly could.
Rodrigo and Junior Firpo both came on at half-time, and after initial struggles, both grew as the game continued and could push to replace Pascal Struijk and Mateusz Klich in the side.
Struijk went off injured, and this report suggests that he should be fine to keep his spot if handed that chance by El Loco.
Having said that, you never know given our luck with injuries, so Bielsa’s press conference in the morning (3rd December) will give us those answers.
No matter what team is selected, three points are all that matters, especially going into that awful Christmas run of fixtures.
