Laura Woods & Adebayo Akinfenwa predict Leeds clash against Brighton

Laura Woods and Adebayo Akinfenwa have backed Leeds United to beat Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Super 6 duo have predicted that it will finish either 2-1 or 3-1 at the AMEX Stadium, with the game live on Amazon Prime.

After games against Manchester City, United and Liverpool, this will be seen as a big opportunity for another three points against smaller opposition.

Making their Super 6 predictions on their latest podcast with Luke Ayling, Akinfenwa backed the Whites for another victory.

“If I recall, Luke said, Leeds are unbeaten in six and Brighton haven’t won in six,” he said.

“So, sod’s law Brighton would win, but we’ve just had Luke on so I’m going to say, Leeds win, 2-1.”

Woods agreed but insisted that there could be a lot more goals at the AMEX Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

“I think it’s going to be more high-scoring, I’m going to say 3-1 to Leeds.”

Marcelo Bielsa insisted that Brighton don’t deserve to be where they are in the Premier League table this season.

The Seagulls average 13.1 shots on goal per game according to WhoScored, something only bettered by six other teams in the top-flight, Leeds being one of those.

We all remember how many chances we missed in the Championship, and although we have become better at that since promotion, it appears as though Brighton have that problem massively.

The 1-0 defeat in the reverse fixture didn’t really tell the full picture, with both teams failing to create much due to the shocking Elland Road pitch.

Extending this unbeaten run to seven would be brilliant for the Whites, who have taken to the Premier League like a duck to water since their return.
