Largie Ramazani injury update emerges in Leeds United team news v Swansea City

Largie Ramazani will be an option for Daniel Farke as Leeds United travel to face Swansea City on Sunday.

The 23-year-old has been sidelined since the 2-1 win over Watford on 22 October, joining Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev on the treatment table, but he could now be fit enough for the trip to Wales on 24 November.

Farke also confirmed that Max Wober would be available after playing 90 minutes for Austria during the international break, though Isaac Schmidt would be missing through injury.

Speaking in his press conference [22 November], Farke said: “All players on international duty came back without injury. Max is available, he played 90 minutes which was beneficial.

“Isaac will miss Sunday (hernia), back in training next week. Largie is in parts of training, and there is an option for minutes over the next three games.”

Largie Ramazani returns to Leeds United squad

While Leeds have been securing valuable victories over the past few weeks, a lot of the attack has been rather one-dimensional, and the return of Ramazani could certainly fix that.

Farke is very rarely one to overplay his stars, even if they are performing well in the final third, and he will be keen to avoid any further injuries to Joel Piroe, Wilfried Gnonto or Dan James.

He has already been without the latter this season, which has been a huge disappointment following his stellar performances in the 2023/24 campaign, where he notched 13 goals and seven assists in the Championship.

All three points for the Whites could see them take the top spot on the league table, should Sunderland slip up to Millwall and Sheffield United fail to beat Coventry City over the weekend.

That would be a real statement to the rest of the promotion hopefuls, with Leeds currently only two points off the top of the table after 15 matches.

While Ramazani is unlikely to be chucked straight into the starting XI at the Swansea.com Stadium, his impact off the bench could be greatly appreciated if his talents are called upon at any point.
