Leeds United chief executive Angus Kinnear believes there is a "real confidence and togetherness" in Daniel Farke's squad.

Having watched the Whites put three goals past Plymouth Argyle, thanks to Dan James, Joel Piroe and Brenden Aaronson, Kinnear said the performance was a good example of the squad's desire to "dominate".

While Leeds did slip up to Millwall in the next fixture, losing 1-0 at the Den, Farke's side got back to winning ways against QPR before the international break, seeing them sit third in the Championship table.

Kinnear was speaking at the SAB meeting on 5 November, the minutes for which were published on Wednesday (20 November): "AK says there is a real confidence and togetherness in the squad at the minute.

"Game against Plymouth was a good example of how the team wants to dominate, whilst also able to rotate and bring youth through."

Leeds United to secure promotion to the Premier League?

Leeds have already shown a lot of promise this season, not just to rise up the Championship table after the heartbreak last season, but to also do so with multiple big-name injuries.

Losing both Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev was a huge blow for Leeds' promotion hopes, but thanks to Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell, and Sam Chambers and Charlie Crew, the squad have coped.

They have also been without James and Largie Ramazani for portions of the campaign, with both spending time on the treatment, but Leeds have rarely skipped a beat on the pitch.

With Sunderland facing Millwall and Sheffield United coming up against Coventry City, the Whites could finish the weekend atop the Championship table.

Of course, the chief executive is expected to have a positive outlook on the season, but with how the performances have gone so far, Kinnear has every right to be excited by the current squad.
