Largie Ramazani eligibility update shared ahead of Leeds United v Sheffield Wednesday

Largie Ramazani will be eligible to make his Leeds United debut against Hull City on Saturday 31 August, according to James Marshment.

The TEAMtalk journalist reported via his personal X account [22 August] that, while he will miss out on Leeds’ trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Friday 23 August, he will be available to face the Tigers at Elland Road.

It is understood that the Whites have agreed a £10.2million deal with Almeria for the 23-year-old left-winger, according to Sacha Tavolieri, which includes a 15 per cent sell-on clause.

Largie Ramazani to make Leeds United debut v Hull City?

While fans will be disappointed not to see their new signing in action against the Owls, the winger needs time to settle in at Elland Road before taking to the pitch for Daniel Farke.

Farke’s side should have enough quality to take all three points away from Hillsborough and get a much-needed victory on the board following a 3-3 draw with Portsmouth before a 0-0 draw against West Brom.

His signing has still been greeted with great excitement, though, coming in to replace the departed Crysencio Summerville, with Leeds finally finding a replacement.

There is still work to do for the Whites, with just eight days of the transfer window remaining, but the arrival of Ramzani will be hugely comforting for the fans at Elland Road.

Leeds’ business in the summer transfer market has been hugely limited, though many big names have found new homes, leaving Farke short on numbers in several areas.

Following Georginio Rutter’s £40million move to Brighton [BBC Sport], alarm bells were truly set off as it looked like Leeds were not going to bring in any replacements before the transfer window slammed shut.

Hopefully, Ramazani is just the first of multiple new faces to come through the doors at Elland Road, but fans will need to remain patient.
