Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent namechecks Leeds United as Rubin Kazan president meeting scheduled
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent has seemingly confirmed the current interest of Leeds United in his client ahead of a crunch meeting with the Rubin Kazan president.
The 20-year-old winger has been consistently linked with a move to Leeds this summer, with the Georgia international confirming he had held talks in an interview in June [Sportall].
Now, in an interview with his agent on the Sportall website, it is suggested that the “world-class” [Russian Premier Liga Twitter account] attacker will be on the move in the next few weeks.

Kvaratskhelia’s agent said [relayed by Georgian football journalist Lasha Kokiashvili on Twitter]: “I have to meet the president of Rubin after August 12, with 85-90% probability Kvaratskhelia will change the team and will play in a very high-level club in Europe.”
“As for Tottenham, I can confirm the information in this case, there is a serious interest from them. I can not say anything new about Leeds. There is also Juventus…”
Winger wanted
It’s been a fairly low-key summer transfer window for the Whites, with Junior Firpo the only senior fresh face through the door that is expected to battle for a first-team spot this season.
Leeds fans won’t be getting too restless as the squad already looks to be in good condition, but if there is an area that needs to be targeted after central midfield, it’s the wings.
Raphinha and Jack Harrison are very good Premier League wingers, but the gap in quality behind those two is pretty big.
Ian Poveda, and particularly Helder Costa, have flattered to deceive at Elland Road, and if one of Raphinha or Harrison picks up an injury of any significance, it could derail our season.
That’s why this agent update is one to be welcomed – we are seemingly still in pursuit of Kvaratskhelia, and as a sought-after, tricky attacker, he could be one to pique the interest of supporters and light up Elland Road this season and for many campaigns to come.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites want to sign this Portuguese attacking sensation.
