Kevin De Bruyne stuns Gary Lineker after Manchester City moment in 7-0 win v Leeds United
Gary Lineker paid special tribute to Kevin De Bruyne on Tuesday night (14 December) as Manchester City thrashed Leeds United 7-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
De Bruyne, 30, scored twice as the Citizens ran riot against the Whites, with further goals from Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, John Stones and Nathan Ake.
The Belgium star’s second of the game, City’s fifth, was the pick of the bunch.

He unleashed a rocket of a shot from distance, giving Illan Meslier no chance in the Leeds goal.
“Bloody hell Man City are ridiculously good,” Lineker wrote on his personal Twitter profile. “What a hit that is from the superb Kevin De Bruyne.”
Levels
It was a harrowing defeat for Marcelo Bielsa and his charges, but this is a result that can happen to most sides in the Premier League.
Norwich City and Arsenal have already suffered 5-0 defeats to Pep Guardiola’s side this season, and the Whites were without a host of key players, including Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper.
With them in the side last season, Leeds won 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium via a Stuart Dallas double, while they claimed a point in the prior fixture at Elland Road in a 0-0 draw.
Guardiola and his players must have been desperate to finally get one over Bielsa, and it showed as they swept the floor with Leeds.
It looks bad for Leeds, but as long as they bounce back with a positive result against Arsenal on Saturday (18 December), then this game will quickly wash away.
World-class stars like De Bruyne can weave their magic at any opportunity and Leeds can rest assured that they won’t face someone of his quality every game.
In other Leeds United news, Simon Jordan has blasted the narrative around Marcelo Bielsa in a Tuesday pop at Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick.
