Kalvin Phillips sent heartfelt message to Ronaldo Vieira on Instagram
Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has sent a brilliant message to his former teammate Ronaldo Vieira on Instagram.
The 23-year-old, who was on the books of Leeds from 2015-2018, joined Sampdoria, an exit that was sanctioned by Marcelo Bielsa.
Bielsa went on to transform Phillips into one of the best defensive midfielders in the country.
Vieira has endured problems in Italy, struggling mainly with fitness. He returned after a long injury lay-off in the 4-1 defeat to Juventus.
He posted a message on Instagram to which Phillips responded by saying: “Love to see it.”

Vieira has been linked with a return to Leeds.
According to reports from Club Doria 46, Victor Orta was trying to bring Vieira to Elland Road again in January with Leeds desperate to sign a midfielder.
With Phillips currently injured and Adam Forshaw picking up a muscle injury as well, Leeds are short of options in the central midfield areas.
Leeds have been reportedly linked with a move for RB Salzburg’s Brenden Aaronson [The Athletic] this week, and it seems the Whites are serious about landing him.
As far as Vieira is concerned, it seems it was just wild speculation from the Italian press about the Sampdoria player.
Vieira has made just four appearances last season at Hellas Verona on loan. The rumour seems to have died down as Leeds in all probability were never interested in taking him back.
In other Leeds United news, Leeds have been told to pay over £6million to sign a “terrific” player who’s been tipped to move on.
