Kalvin Phillips and Diego Llorente share update after West Ham defeat
Leeds United pair Kalvin Phillips and Diego Llorente are both determined to learn from Monday’s defeat to West Ham.
The duo started a league game together for just the second time this season but could not prevent a 2-0 loss.
They each took to Twitter on Tuesday to express their desire to bounce back from the disappointing result, with Phillips also describing his joy at returning from injury.
“Great feeling to finally be back on the pitch last night. Frustrating result but we learn and go again. Fully focused on next Saturday’s match,” said Phillips.

Llorente said, “Each new level of your life will demand a better version of yourself.
Keep working and improving until you get the reward of victory.”

Winning mentality
Llorente sending a message to Leeds fans is becoming a routine after each match.
Win lose or draw he always reflects on the match and remains upbeat about the Whites’ chances of improving.
That is exactly the desire we need if we are to build on our mid-table performance this year.
We want to begin challenging for European qualification and Victor Orta was sensible by signing experienced international players last summer.
Llorente has the right attitude to overcome setbacks and Phillips possesses that same determination.
We are lucky to have both of them and if we can continue adding internationals to the squad we will surely start to get better.
First the team must show they are actively learning from negative results, though, as West Ham exploited us from set-pieces in both games this term.
