Juventus want Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips

Tottenham are interested in signing Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips this summer, according to TuttoJuve.

The Italian website claims that Serie A giants Juventus have joined the race for the England international, with Manchester City, Spurs and Real Madrid also keen.

Leeds are said to value Phillips at around £25million [TuttoJuve] should one of his suitors look to make an offer.

Leeds United

Juventus want to strengthen their squad this summer, with returning manager Max Allegri keen on recruiting quality players capable of boosting his side’s chances of winning the Serie A title and Champions League.

Ridiculous!

We anticipated this after Phillips put in such an impressive shift for England against Croatia on Sunday.

While the Juventus links are not surprising, the claimed £25million asking price is as ridiculous as they come.

We are no transfer market experts, but the Leeds star is worth at least double of that right now, and not many will disagree.

Phillips will definitely attract more bigwigs in the coming weeks if he keeps impressing at the European Championship, and we expect him to.

Leeds United

Juventus would be offering him more wages, a chance to play regular Champions League football and win silverware playing alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, but we don’t see any of that tempting him right now.

With all due respect to them, the Old Lady no longer boast of the pulling powers they once had, and Phillips probably prefers to remain at Elland Road and help establish Leeds as a force to reckon with once again in England and on the continent.
