Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie holds decisive transfer talks with Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani

Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie reportedly held decisive transfer talks with Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani.

According to Tuttosport [27 January], talks were also held with Jesse Marsch as McKennie is keen on moving to Elland Road in January.

Leeds also tabled an opening offer and fell just shy of what Juventus want in order to part ways with the United States international.

Get it done

Leeds cannot keep delaying signing McKennie as they’re well aware of other clubs being interested in signing the 24-year-old as well.

Both Arsenal and Aston Villa have more money to spend than the Whites do and are in better table positions as well.

McKennie knows that he will be in a relegation battle when he moves to Elland Road and bad performances could see them ending up in the second tier.

He’s been impressed with the club’s plan and after talks with the manager and owner, it seems like he’s got his heart on a move to Leeds.

However, these things can change drastically and Marsch will be aware of that so he would want it done as quickly as possible.

They cannot wait till deadline day because clubs make panic buys and could make a last-gasp bid for him without even thoroughly being sure about him and that could make him consider alternatives as well.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites appear to be on the cusp of another January signing as a player’s agent jets into the United Kingdom to conduct final transfer talks.
