Journalist shares which game Patrick Bamford will make Leeds United injury comeback
Leeds United hope to have Patrick Bamford back available on 10 March when they play Aston Villa at Elland Road, according to The Athletic journalist Adam Crafton.
Writing on The Athletic’s website on 24 February, Crafton reported that Kalvin Phillips is also set to return in that Thursday night Premier League clash next month.
Bamford’s return date is significant as no timescale has been put on the striker’s recovery until now and this serves as a major boost for Leeds in their bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Huge news
While it’s not as good as seeing Bamford back within the next week or so, it’s encouraging to know that the 28-year-old striker is expected to be back before the season ends.
We’ve missed Bamford badly.
Before his injury hell started back in September, the striker was on a run of scoring one goal and supplying two assists in five Premier League appearances.
Not only is he a goalscorer, he’s a goal provider too.

Leeds have been really short of goals this season and that is largely down to Bamford spending so much time on the sidelines.
While we’ve outscored plenty of other teams in the Premier League this season, Leeds have underperformed on their xG (expected goals).
Accoridng to stats by FBRef, the Whites should’ve scored 31.3 times in the Premier League season while the actual goals for stat is 29. It means we’re not scoring as often as we should and really, not creating as many goals as we should.
Bamford back will be massive but he cannot be risked and he needs to be fully fit before he can play again otherwise we run the risk of seeing yet another setback for the ex-Chelsea striker.
