Bielsa shares Jack Harrison injury update after what journalist noticed in Leeds United loss v Liverpool
Jack Harrison did not suffer any kind of injury in the late stages of Leeds United’s 6-0 defeat at Liverpool, Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed.
Harrison, 25, seemed unable to track back to stop one of Liverpool’s late goals at Anfield on Wednesday night and Yorkshire Post journalist Stuart Rayner spotted that the winger looked as though he’d “tweaked something” with 15 minutes left of the game.
When asked about that by a reporter in his post-match press conference, Bielsa seemed surprised as he failed to notice any issues with Harrison.
When told that Harrison looked as though he tweaked a muscle in the late stages, Bielsa was quoted by LeedsLive as saying: “I did not get that impression.
“I think he is one of the players who made the most efforts in the game.
“I saw him keep up with TAA or whoever was down that sector with a lot of effort.

“Perhaps you observed something I did not manage to see. I was next to him and did not notice any limitations.”
Cover up?
Bielsa failed to mention anything about an injury to Diego Llorente prior to the game and there’s still been no update on the Spanish centre-back, who was nowhere to be seen at Anfield on Wednesday night.
And if Harrison has also suffered some kind of injury, we doubt that Bielsa will share everything he knows straight after the game when what he knows might be quite limited.
Harrison did seem to be struggling at the end of the game as he was nowhere near to Jordan Henderson when he assisted one of Sadio Mane’s late goals.
Henderson’s definitely not a quicker player than Harrison yet the ex-Manchester City attacker was nowhere near the Liverpool captain.
With Leeds United set to play Tottenham on Saturday in a lunchtime kick-off, we’d guess that Harrison might be a doubt.
That’s not the worst thing in the world for Leeds because, while we’d like to have all of our players fit and ready to play, Harrison’s been no good in recent weeks and Daniel James shouldn’t be getting substituted off first instead of him.
If he is injured, it’ll probably only be a minor one.
In other Leeds United news, Bielsa has also made a big admission about his future at Elland Road after the loss at Anfield.
