Journalist reacts as worrisome news on Leeds United ace Tyler Adams injury emerges from Elland Road

Jake Winderman believes that Leeds United are dearly going to be missing the services of Tyler Adams who will be out of the Wolves clash due to injury.

The CBS journalist reacted to the news that Phil Hay broke that ruled the United States international out of the game on 18 March.

He will also be missing the international games during the break and no timescale’s been put on the 24-year-old’s return to action.

Via Twitter, Winderman wrote, “This is extremely worrisome. Leeds don’t really have another player to replace what Adams does. This sucks.”

Bad news

Winderman is right – there is no player in this Leeds side who can quite do what Adams does and it’s going to be a huge blow for Javi Gracia.

The American midfielder is an all-action player who’s not only pivotal at carrying the ball, but is a good tackler and is extremely well and intercepting the ball and recycling possession.

The onus of his role will fall on Weston McKennie who’s decent but clearly not as good as his compatriot who’s one of the first names on the team sheet.

Adams has had an extremely fruitful start to his Elland Road career and one would imagine if Leeds go down, he’ll be among those in demand for not just Premier League sides but also top European clubs.

While the Whites would profit significantly off his sale, the last thing they would want is for their squad to be weakened.

They all will be hoping that he’s back to action sooner rather than later.

In other Leeds United news, the club may now face a losing battle to keep their star player at Elland Road beyond the summer transfer window.
