Jon Newsome frustrated during Leeds United loss at Millwall as Daniel Farke concern shared
Jon Newsome has been left frustrated with Leeds United after their 1-0 defeat in the Championship against Millwall.
The Whites were beaten in the second-tier for the first time since their 1-0 loss to Burnley on 14 September.
Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds (6 November), Newsome shared what he thinks Daniel Farke will be worried about with Leeds’ performance at The Den.
“This is getting frustrating because we’re dominating possession and not scoring. That would be my concern if I was Daniel Farke,” he said.
“You can play pretty football but if you’re not performing at the top of the pitch it’s pointless”.
Leeds United should have done better against Millwall
Farke named a relatively unchanged team for the West Yorkshire outfit’s clash against the Lions on 6 November aside from bringing in Jayden Bogle.
While the Englishman didn’t put in an overly poor performance, it feels like he could have done much more with the time he spent on the pitch.
The Whites are expected to be challenging for the title this season and if they continue dropping points and losing games to lower-placed teams in the league, they may as well kiss their title chances goodbye.

After their loss to Neil Harris’ men and the result from the Sheffield United game on Tuesday, a 2-1 win at Bristol City,, the West Yorkshire outfit have now dropped a place in the league and are third in the table.
On paper, Leeds’ next few Championship games look favourable but if they put in a performance like they did against Millwall in each or any of those clashes, there’s no knowing how many points they’ll bring home.
